Definitions

Tort Claim:  Is a claim for damages by the victim of a wrongful act which resulted in physical, emotional, psychological or financial injury, against another person who can be held legally responsible

Breach of Contract Claim: A contract case usually comes before a judge because one or both parties claim that the contract was breached. A breach of contract is a failure, without legal excuse, to perform any promise that forms all or part of the contract.

Equitable Claims: A court awards an injunction to prevent a future harmful action -- rather than to compensate for a past injury -- or to provide relief from harm for which an award of money damages is not a satisfactory solution or for which a monetary value is impossible to calculate
