DMV

What is the purpose of DMV? You can say it adds rp to selling cars or that it tracks which cars and who they are sold by but there is very little to no rp with DMV workers its "i need a pink slip" both people hand them id and some cash and that's it, as well as I'm sure the server previously had /pinkslip logs of what cars and who they are being sold from and to.

 

My suggestion to solve this problem is hire more active DMV workers, make title transfers purchasable 1 or 2 a day,  or get rid of this new title transfer system completely, the new system causes prices to be ridiculous cars are already out of stock constantly and the lack of DMV/title transfers causes people to pay ridiculous prices for cars.

Hmm I have to agree we need more dmv agents and people that are not going to allow 50 people to make the area a shitfest.

Im going to 100% agree with you on this one.  My RP for years has been centered around having a functioning operational used car dealership in the city where people could come, see a car, test a car, haggle over prices, all kinds of stuff...it was HOURS of rp almost every night...that RP is 1000% gone now.  It's extremely unfortunate.  Great idea in theory but I do think that it has had many unintended consequences.  The harm it has done certainly outweighs the good.

Well the intention was not to destroy or make someone else's RP harder or remove it, the intention was to make the experience of selling a vehicle more then just a command.
The idea was to get DMV active enough to allow RP to be seamless.
But it gets hard, some people treat the area as another hangout, but DMV is doing the best they can and working with staff on handling problems as they come in.

 

I don't think a used car lot would be out of the question. Maybe making it an actual business, with stash and logs and all that good stuff, to allow someone to sell cars and buy cars along side an active DMV.
It might even take some stress of that area.

But like anything else, sometimes the high road is bumpy, but eventually it will all smooth out.

Don't we already have a "used" car lot that is in the first attached picture that BlueSky Auctions used which is the pink ish garage on the map known to me as the showcase garage. It may help if the icon would had text that said resell garage or resell area. Then people know that it is a resell area, as well as multiple ppl can sell multiple cars. It may also be good idea to move that TP location and use the TUNERS DLC interior. Potentially you could use the "new" area TP in the second picture and It could look something like this on the map which is in the 3rd picture. Finally if you want to make it safe you may want to make it like the Galaxy night club were a persons weapons get taken when they enter so it wouldnt become a shooting area / robbery area / body dumping area, and then given back after you leave .
